How it works

Year 1

Residency

You'll be placed in a classroom with an experienced mentor teacher for the entire school year, gradually taking on more responsibility as you build your skills.

Year 2+

Teaching with Support

Upon completion, you'll transition into your own classroom as a fully licensed teacher—but the support doesn't end there. Teacher Residency graduates receive continued coaching and professional development to ensure long-term success.

What You'll Earn

  • Teaching license

  • Master's degree in education

  • Annual stipend to support your living expenses

  • Job placement support upon completion

What Makes Teacher Residency Different

Learn by Doing

Traditional teacher prep programs rely heavily on theory. Teacher Residency puts you in a real classroom with real students from day one, so you're learning the skills you'll actually use.

Mentorship that Matters

Your mentor teacher is a carefully selected, experienced educator who will guide you, challenge you, and help you grow. This isn't observation—it's true apprenticeship.

Financial Support

You shouldn't have to choose between pursuing your passion and paying your bills. Teacher Residency provides a stipend so you can focus fully on becoming an excellent teacher.

Ready from Day One

By the time you have your own classroom, you'll have already taught hundreds of lessons, managed challenging situations, and built the confidence to lead.
