STEM education is evolving rapidly

But many teachers are still using outdated approaches that emphasize memorization over discovery, worksheets over problem-solving, and isolated subjects over integrated learning. What students deserve: Inquiry-driven investigation Real-world problem solving Integrated STEM thinking Meaningful technology use Engagement with authentic challenges What they often get: Lectures and note-taking Cookbook labs with predetermined outcomes Isolated math/science subjects Technology for technology's sake Passive consumption of information

The Opportunity

STEM Fellows transforms your teaching practice and leadership capacity through a year-long cohort experience. You'll master problem-based learning, inquiry teaching, technology integration, and equity-focused STEM instruction through monthly workshops, classroom implementation with expert coaching, and peer collaboration. But we go beyond classroom skills—STEM Fellows develops you as a leader who can drive systemic change: leading professional development, advocating for resources, mentoring colleagues, and shaping district policy. You'll complete a capstone project, present at conferences, and join a network of STEM educators who will collaborate with you for years to come. STEM Fellows doesn't just make you a better teacher—it makes you a leader who transforms STEM education for entire schools and communities.
